Woke up feeling slightly jaded after a 2am
finish , but not too bad considering really.
The sun was shining and the fields were buzzing with activity at
10am when I rose.
As quick spot of breakfast, a check of the email and before I knew
it the wife, kids and pooch arrived.
Off we went to explore the show fully and get some lunch and buy
some goodies. Again disappointing lunch with three rather nasty
looking toasted cheese sandwiches, but my Roast Pork, hog roast bap
was lush, good choice.
All the stores were now here and set up, some had not arrived last
night when we walked around and quite a few quid lighter, we all
walked away with some goodies, new hoodies, new t-shirts, bus
earrings, spare wheel cover and more. Some great finds to be had and
we also checked out the few interior companies as Rattleshack
desperately needs new furniture. We found one with www.rvtech.co.uk
which looks like it may win this race. Nothing will be done until
after the show.
After a boiling days walking, we retreated to the bus where we all
showed off our purchases from the day, it was a like a mini fashion
show at the buses!
A couple of quick drinks later, we were walking back to the show
taking in all the pucka buses along the way. The display by the
Emergency Vehicles was good and kept us amused for half an hour.
Another bite to eat being Pork, Rice and Grit and we were saying
goodbye to wifey who had to return home for the Race for Life run in
the morning. Kisses and hugs later, we were in the bar enjoying an
ice cold pint of Strongbow.
The Wild West themed fancy dress compo attracted a lot of attention
with some great outfits. then followed the tribute band for the
weekend, which were not too bad and between this and the chill out
tent, there were some great tunes and a great atmosphere.
Back to the buses and the kids were asleep within a few minutes,
must have been all that sunshine!
